Tina Ellis Photography

What's not to love about the world? Everyday I discover new photographers, artists, novelists, philosophers, musicians. Creativity is hidden in every nook and cranny of the world. I want to explore it all. I have so much to live for. One day I can only hope to be as talented and extraordinary as them. I want my words to count, I want to make an impact. A difference, a change. I think that the only reason everyone holds onto memories so tight is because memories are the only thing that doesn't change when everything else does. So with that being said, Allow me to be the one to capture those precious moments. I mean ITS WHAT I DO :)

TE Photography © Price list and Policy

Sessions are only available on Thursday.

If you need to cancel, please do so 24 hours in advance of your session.

Poses & Locations

I want your session to be fun and successful! I have a number of standard poses available to you but I welcome your input. Please don't hesitate to offer your own ideas for poses and locations and be as specific as possible. I'd like to encourage you to do research to discover what you like.
When you can, provide examples of those poses, styles, and locations that you like. It will be very helpful to me. I love new ideas! If we work together efficiently, you can have a great session with lots of great photos. So relax, get creative and have fun!

There are no limits to the number of poses, but the number of locations is limited to three. Locations include sites in Cabot, Beebe, and Jacksonville.
Photo CD & Prints
All useable digital images will be stored on a CD after any touch-ups have been made and one copy will be provided to you. You should receive your CD within 2 weeks of your session.

At this time, I do not have the hardware to make prints but I do have the copyright form you will need to get your prints from Wal-Mart. They make great prints and you will have the ability to get your prints on the same day you receive your photo CD.

Editing

Each frame taken will be assessed for usability and if necessary will be touched-up as needed.

Out of courtesy for colleagues, I will not edit other photographer's work. By the same token, I don't allow others to edit my work. However, if you have taken a photo and need assistance with editing, I'd be happy to help you.

Single Adult, Couple & Boudoir Sessions

Avoid bringing your children. If for some reason your babysitter cancels, please call me before we meet and we can discuss if it will be necessary to reschedule your session. For a Boudoir session, you may bring a friend with you if it will make you feel more comfortable.

Q: What should I wear?

A: Here are some ideas for the more popular sessions:

Maternity:
Maternity is all about showing off your belly! Depending on if you want a more classic or more artistic maternity session will determine what clothing to bring. Here are a few of my suggestions.

- A pair of pre-maternity jeans that fits under the belly with them unbuttoned, if you do not have a pair low rise maternity jeans will work as well.
- A button down shirt.
- Any fun and funky scarves (trust me they work great for an artistic shot)
- A white and/or black tube top
- A white and/or black tank top
- A neutral colored peasant skirt that fits under the belly (white works best)
- A fitted t-shirt that fits snugly over the belly, but does not cover the lower belly
- I also encourage all my maternity clients to bring anything that is special to them.
- I can work an ultrasound image into a portrait.
- Feel free to bring anything you think will work and I will help you decide.

Newborn:

Most of the session your newborn will be naked or will have a diaper cover on. Feel free to bring any special clothing that you want your little one photographed in, as well as any special toys that you would like worked into the portraits. Wedding bands are adorable on babies toes, or a necklace that has special meaning. You will also want to bring a long sleeved black shirt for you and our husband, as well as a black sleeveless shirt. Even if you would not like to be in the portraits, I will use your arms and the black shirt as a backdrop.

Family sessions:
With larger groups simple is better, hands down.  This does not mean that everyone has to match per say, but images are generally more pleasing if there is a common element.  This can be something as small as a scarf or a splash of the same color.  Some of my personal favorite images are bright and bold clothing. I would suggest everyone wear matching outfits; black or white shirts with jeans or khakis tend to work the best. Also, think about where you are going to hang this photo, you may want to make sure that everyone matches!

Couples:
I am a Southern girl who is a sucker dark wash jeans and a classic white shirt. Most of the time the  gentleman is always the understated dresser. But I want to see your personalities played out in your outfits! Bring a few outfit changes, 2 hours is plenty of time for a fashion show!

Children:
Mix-matched clothing, patterns, layers of tulle skirts over argyle socks, you name it.  For children in particular white is a classic. Bring a few of your favorite outfits.  I will help you pick out what will work best.

Babies:
Bring a few outfits and I will help you decide. Also, bring their favorite bear, blanket or anything that is their personality and comforts them.

Senior Portraits:
I want to see your personality!!!! So bring a few of your favorite outfits.  Try to stay away from heavy patterns, but have fun. Parents I suggest you hang back. Teens tend to get embarrassed easily, and might feel silly posing with someone they know close by.

Boudoir:
Boudoir is all about showing your personality, and bringing your husbands personality into the portraits. You will need to bring outfits that help hide what you want to hide and show off what you want to show off. Make sure all panties and bras do not dig into your skin. The day of your session you will want to wear loose clothing and loose undergarments to prevent any skin indents. Here are some suggestions, and tips to help you pick out outfits for your session.

- Your favorite pair of jeans, that shows off your butt the best.
-  One of your husbands dress shirts (white works best, but any solid color will work)
- A few pairs of sexy heels (make sure to coordinate shoes to your outfits)
- A few sexy panties (make sure to coordinate with your outfits) sexy lacy panties work the best, as well as cute patterned panties. Thongs do not work well, boy style, or ½ coverage works the best.
- Lingerie works well, from super fancy, to a simple silk nighty, just make sure to bring what looks best on your body.
- A fitted t-shirt with coordinating panties (for example if your husband is in the military you can wear an “I (heart) my Marine”, or if he is a country man you can bring a John Deere shirt. If the shirt is loose I can pin it up to make it fitted.
- If your husband is a cop or any job that has a uniform, bring his uniform shirt, and any accessories that you can.
- If you are a country girl bring your cowboy boots and your cowboy hat.
- Use your creativity to create several outfits, feel free to email or call me with any questions.
- If you think something will work but are not sure, get it, I will help you decide.
- Any thing that you may think will work as a prop, Let's try it!

Once you are done picking out all your outfits, make sure to email or call me with your choices, so I can have your session organized when you arrive. The most important thing is to show off your personality! Have fun with it, and be yourself!!

Q: What is the best time for a session?

A: Portrait sessions are typically scheduled for early and mid-mornings and late afternoons to allow for the best natural light.  Sunrise sessions are available and sunset sessions book well in advance.  For families with small infants and children I take into account their napping and eating schedule to make sure they are happy and content; however, if we need to take a snack break during the session it isn't a problem at all.  Yes, this does apply to the dietary needs of husbands and fathers, too!  Feel free to pack a picnic for some action shots of family fun or plan on stopping for ice cream with the family.

Q: When is payment due?

A: I collect the payment after we are done with shooting the session. No exceptions. I take cash only

Q: How long does it take to get my pictures?

A: I strive to make sure you get your pictures done as quickly as I can, but with that being said I do want to put the best possible picture out there for you and a lot of time goes into each picture. For portrait sessions it takes 2-3 weeks for me to complete the session. For bigger sessions, such as weddings, I say at least a month. At any given time I am editing multiple sessions so your's well be done in the order it was taken. Please factor in that I do have a family that needs my attention,  I promise to get your pictures done as quickly as I can. I do not do rush orders.

Q: What is a Boudoir session?

A: Boudoir photography sessions are tasteful photos that hint at sexiness. Every person has their own idea of what sexy is as well as what they are comfortable with. These sessions are cute, fun, sexy, flirty and even a bit sensual all the while maintaining your comfort level. This is for ANY woman. You do not have to be a size 00 to be sexy. They are often done as gifts for the groom before or after the wedding, but can be given at any time. Usually around Valentine's Day & Christmas I run a boudoir special for you ladies that want to give your man something extra special.

Not sure what to wear or bring on your session? Check out the "What do I wear" portion of the page and check out my sugestions under "Boudior".

A few other things I sugest:

- A helpful mindset to have when taking boudoir pics is: don't take any photos that you couldn't show your best friend.
- Get inspired before taking your photos by checking out other boudoir portfolios -- Maxim magazine covers are also a good inspiration for interesting setups.
- Bring a friend along that may help you with making sure "nothing is hanging out."
- Look for a photographer whose photos you love, and not necessarily a "boudoir" photographer.
- Bring a fan and music for the shoot.
- Ask if you can chat with previous clients to get a feel for what the style of the photographer is like.
- Be comfortable with yourself--and talk to the photographer before you bare it all to see what they want to shoot, what they are hoping to get out of the session, and most importantly, what you want to get out of the session!
- Eat light the day of the session! You don't want a heavy meal making you super full! Not only does that cause the "pooch" but also makes you sleepy!!
- Most importantly: HAVE FUN! This is a session all about you!! I want you to feel as comfortable as possible!! So please do not hesitate to ask questions or thow out ideas durring the session!! I want you to enjoy yourself!

Q: What is The Day After Session?

A: Basically, on your wedding day you will be REALLY strapped for time, sometimes stressed, and always ready to PARTY at the reception! With most people scheduling the posed photos after the ceremony and with guests/family anxious to start the reception (food and drinks are important) tensions can run high as guests wait at the tables for the bride and groom to return from the photo session. Daylight may be fading or weather may not cooperate, so scheduling a Day After session can make the day less stressful and get some AMAZING images! Some times this is often referred to as a "Trash the Dress" session, but I know that all brides do not want to go all out and trash their dress. But if you want to by all means don't let me stop you ;o)
